Wild Mantra

Wild Mantra

I called to my ancestors.
When they replied, they didn’t whisper. They roared.

They told me what I’ve always known, but forgotten:

+ Move like a beast in the forest — walk far, lift heavy, dance wild, feast well, fuck like the world’s ending.
+ Eat what grows, what runs, what ripens in sun and soil.
+ Shape the world with your hands — hammer, carve, stitch, stir.
+ Hold your kin close — with arms, with eyes, with time.
+ Tend the fire — in the hearth, in the belly, in the soul.
+ Stand bare beneath the stars — remember how ancient you are.

The fog is lifting.
The old knowing is returning.
I remember now.
I am the flame and the shadow.
I am who I have always been.
